Sustainable Development
On June 24-25, Members of Parliament (MPs) from the Mercator European Dialogue network met for a workshop on “Sustainable Development in Europe” in Vienna.
The date was one of particular significance for Europe, as the workshop took place against the backdrop of the UK referendum’s “out” vote. In this context of increasing complexity and crisis of the European idea, MPs discussed what it means to forward the sustainable development agenda nationally and at the European level, in the face of an increasingly fragmented and destabilised Europe.
