Threat Perceptions and Scenarios for EU Security and Defense

How secure do we feel in the EU? What are we afraid of?

This workshop  will give MPs an opportunity to discuss threat perceptions among societies and political leadership in Europe – with the aim to create a closer mutual understanding of the issues, views and approaches
among MPs from EU countries.

Alternative futures of EU security and defense

The workshop is an exchange of approaches to and possible futures of EU defense, providing the MPs with the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the trends and the emerging issues, as well as to learn about approaches and views from their peers in other countries. The issues discussed will guide MPs through a reflection on three possible scenarios inspired by the European Commission reflection paper on Defense.
